Have been digging up flax in the garden and sewing grass in its place. Still have a few trees to top so they don't get too big and block out the sunlight or the view.
The house vegetable garden has gone to seed so have been concentrating on a small garden to see us through until we go. What ever is growing will be used by our daughter Kerri and her fiance.
We have listed the house for rent on Trademe and although it is unsuitable for young children we have had a lot of requests for families with young children who want more yard space and living space.

John is having some problems with increased pressure in his left eye and has a tube to go in on Thursday that will hopefully correct this and still keep the 10% vision he currently has and hopefully he will not have the same problems with his right eye!
We have finished with our rabies, yellow fever, and typhoid vaccinations. We now need to get the first aid kit replenished with anti-malarial tablets, topical antibiotic creams, and water purifying tablets or iodine solutions.
Lil is busily sewing hidden pockets in different parts of our clothing to conceal any cash that we may need to carry.
She has sent requests to future hosts to go Couchsurfing in Singapore and Malaysia so hopefully that will connect her with someone willing to give her a bed or a couch while she is there.
John's nephew has finalised the itinerary for the attractions they will see and do in and around Cape Town when they are not watching the games live or on TV!
A new notebook is being tested as the old faithful favourite retired itself.
Soon we will have to start storing all our household effects in the shed ready for new tenants to move in.
This time we are taking our multi-fuel cooker and pots and sleeping bags. We never needed them on our last trip. It will certainly be a testing time for us to travel by public transport through Africa for one year.
